When I started working with Ellen I was stuck in a rut with both my exercising (or lack of it) and my eating habits. I had taken my eye off the ball and gained around 2 stone over a couple of years. Ellen was able to dispel all of the ‘obstacles’ I had mentally put in my way and really understood how I felt. With her bespoke advice and support Ellen gave me the motivation to stick to my plan and achieve my goals. Even when I had down days Ellen kept me positive and could totally relate to me on a personal level. I now have a much healthier outlook on food and exercise and I feel really empowered with the knowledge I have gained. I am much more confident with my food choices and my ability to push myself physically when I work out. With Ellen’s help I have lost over a stone so far and have really noticed a change in my shape- all of which has given me a new found confidence! Here’s to the next stone!

A personal trainer with a difference!
I was nervous about having a personal trainer as it was a totally new concept for me but right from the start Ellen made me feel confident, motivated and at ease and I knew I was in safe hands!
She tailored her expertise to really understand the personal goals I wanted to achieve. She gave me flexibility to train whenever I could fit it in, which as a busy working mum was really important to me. The classes really pushed me out of my comfort zone which was exactly what I needed and we had a laugh too.
Though Ellen is super serious about fitness, her enthusiasm is infectious and her knowledge about health and nutrition is invaluable. I look forward to future training sessions with the legend that is Ellen Fit for Life Bashers!!

I am a super busy mum of 2 young boys and Ellen (PT BASHERS!) is my fabulous younger sister. Ellen has had a massive influence on me and my lifestyle in the past 2 years when I decided to make a change. Last year I ran my first half marathon and I I have gone from dragging myself to the gym for an unstructured/unfocused boring cardio session to loving fitness 4-5 times a week; and doing real press ups! What she has taught me is that it’s finding a way that suits and fits in with your lifestyle and all the existing demands (it can be done! I promise if I can do it anyone can!) I am planning to run the half again this year – but there is no way that I would have the enjoyment, focus or interest without my amazing sister to support me.

Ellen has been a huge help in kick-starting my exercise and nutrition regime ahead of our summer holiday. Her advice and extensive knowledge has been unequivocal and without her I wouldn’t be in the shape I am now.
I wasn’t sure how the programme would work for me, as I live more than 250 miles away from Ellen, but having her on the end of the phone and email has been akin to having a live-in personal trainer! She’s sent me weekly meal plans, workouts and been an invaluable source of support when I was faltering or losing motivation.
As a busy working mum of two who is severely lacking in time I have never managed to stick to a proper exercise plan as I’ve not been able to devote the time to fitness classes or commit to gym membership, but Ellen’s advice and support has shown that it IS possible to lead a healthy lifestyle and lose weight, get into shape and feel confident in my body again without having to do long classes or daily gym sessions.
All her advice was tailored to my lifestyle and was easy to achieve. I hate diets but Ellen’s weekly nutrition suggestions never left me hungry and I was able to easily lose nearly a stone in just a month under her guidance. I never felt like I was denying myself and, if I was struggling, she was just at the end of the phone to give me support and motivation.
For me, the tone of a trainer is something I really find important and this is something Ellen has got nailed. She’s not judgemental or patronising, really gets to know her clients and offers easy-to-follow guidance along with a friendly, inspiring and supportive personality that you can’t help but get on board with.
